Terms of Use
Last updated: July 13, 2026. By using canopulse.com you agree to these terms.
Service operator and agreement priority
Canopulse is currently operated by Ronak Macwan under the Canopulse name. A paid pilot, license, or custom engagement will identify the contracting party in its order form or written agreement. If a signed agreement conflicts with these public Terms, the signed agreement controls for that engagement.
Screening outputs only
Canopulse provides screening-level planning support based on official public datasets. Outputs are not regulatory, engineering, legal, public-health, or official funding determinations.
Current reports use the July 2026 California UCRI release. Previous releases remain separately archived for reproducibility and must not be substituted for current results. Their normalization scopes and environmental components differ, and every output should be read with its displayed model version.
License and permitted use
Subject to these Terms, Canopulse grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the website and released outputs for internal screening, research, teaching, planning, grant-support, and client deliverables. You may cite exported results with their model version, limitations, and source record. You may not copy the service, bypass access controls, scrape in a way that impairs availability, resell platform access, or remove provenance and limitation notices.
Ownership and user materials
Canopulse retains its software, interface, model documentation, report templates, branding, and original compilation work. You retain ownership of material you submit. You grant Canopulse only the rights needed to host, process, secure, and return that material through the requested service. Feedback may be used to improve the product without identifying you.
Third-party datasets and services
Public datasets, map basemaps, source documents, and third-party software remain subject to their owners' licenses and terms. Canopulse does not transfer ownership of those materials. Source availability, licensing, and content can change outside Canopulse's control.
Plans, pilots, and billing
Paid pilots and custom report engagements are handled by invoice or written agreement unless otherwise stated. Public prices and commercial features labeled indicative or planned are not an active self-serve offer. Scope, fees, taxes, delivery, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms are set in the applicable written agreement.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information, use only accounts you are authorized to access, and notify Canopulse promptly of suspected unauthorized use.
Grant evidence packages
Grant evidence packages are structured screening evidence, not applications. Canopulse never files anything on your behalf; the applicant reviews, edits, and submits all materials and is responsible for verifying current program requirements, eligibility rules, and deadlines. Canopulse makes no warranty of funding outcomes.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the platform, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, upload malicious code, submit unlawful or infringing content, use outputs to make prohibited discriminatory decisions, or represent Canopulse as an official government determination.
Service availability
The public service may be changed, limited, suspended, or unavailable for maintenance, security, source changes, or events outside reasonable control. No service-level agreement applies unless a signed agreement expressly provides one. Canopulse may correct report or interface defects while preserving frozen release records and model boundaries.
Suspension, termination, export, and deletion
You may stop using the service at any time. Canopulse may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, security risk, nonpayment under a signed agreement, or unlawful use. Before planned account closure, request a reasonable export of user-owned workspace material. Personal information and backups are handled under the Privacy Policy and any controlling written agreement. Sections that by nature should survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law, continue after termination.
Warranty disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service and outputs are provided "as is" and "as available." Canopulse disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Canopulse does not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free output, future source availability, or that screening results will satisfy a program, regulator, funder, client, or project requirement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canopulse and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities arising from the service. Aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the amount you paid Canopulse for the affected service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or 100 US dollars if you used only free services. These limits do not apply where applicable law prohibits them.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Canopulse and its operator from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use, your submitted material, your violation of these Terms, or your representation of a screening output as an official determination. This obligation does not cover claims caused by Canopulse's own willful misconduct.
Governing law and jurisdiction
California law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless a signed agreement specifies another venue, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts serving the California county of the operator's principal place of business, and each party consents to that jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Changes and severability
Canopulse may update these Terms by posting a new date and revised text. Material changes will apply prospectively. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
