Licenses and Credits
Last updated: October 9, 2026. Canopulse is built on public data and open-source work. This page credits it.
Data
Every UCRI component comes from public data: USDA Forest Service and USGS tree canopy, USGS Annual NLCD impervious surface, USGS Landsat land-surface temperature, CDC/ATSDR Social Vulnerability Index, OEHHA CalEnviroScreen 5.0, and U.S. Census Bureau TIGER/Line tract boundaries. U.S. government data is in the public domain; CalEnviroScreen is published as California open data. Products, versions and required attributions are listed on the Sources page. Canopulse is not endorsed by any of these agencies.
Maps
Base maps show data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License, with vector tiles from OpenMapTiles and hosting by OpenFreeMap. The attribution appears on every live map, and a credit line sits beside the product screenshots that show a map.
Fonts
- Fraunces, Inter and JetBrains Mono, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, served from this site.
- Liberation Sans in generated PDF reports, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Its license text ships with the report generator.
Images
The Canopulse logo, icons and product screenshots were created for Canopulse. No stock photography is used.
