Canopulse

Accessibility

Last reviewed: October 9, 2026. Canopulse should be usable by everyone who plans for heat, canopy and community needs.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is a goal we work toward, not a certification: Canopulse has not had an independent accessibility audit.

What is in place

  • Every image has a text description, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • A "Skip to content" link and visible keyboard focus on links, buttons and form fields.
  • Motion and animation respect your device's reduced-motion setting, and the homepage has its own motion switch.
  • Form fields have labels, and errors are announced to assistive technology.
  • Tract results are available as text, not only on maps: tract reports, printable PDFs, and CSV downloads.

Known limitations

  • The interactive maps and 3D views are visual. Use tract search, tract reports or CSV downloads for the same information in text.
  • Some charts communicate with color. Their values are also given as numbers in reports.
  • Generated PDF reports are not yet fully tagged for screen readers.

Report a barrier

If something is hard or impossible to use, tell us at contact@canopulse.com with the page address and what happened, or choose "Accessibility feedback" on the request form. We aim to reply within 10 business days and can provide the information you need in another format.
